Feet First!
The feet deserves as much attention as any other part of the body. After all, one quarter of all the body's bones (26 different bones) are resident in the feet.
Bunions, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, fungus, are unsightly. Many of us view painful foot conditions as a fact of life. We will seek help for many physical issues, but we are slow to deal with the sources of foot ailments. The feet deserves as much attention as any other part of the body.
Gorgeous feet are just a scrub, buff, and a polish away. Regularly moisturizing your feet and exfoliating them with a grainy scrub or pumice stone helps to prevent calluses from forming.
If you are someone who is "on your feet" all day, it is imperative to keep your feet healthy with natural care. Also, you can help to detox the body with a 10-minute foot soak. Soaking your feet helps to relieve tiredness and banish odor. Foot baths and foot massages are essential to keeping feet as healthy as possible. Salt bath soaks will help to improve circulation, reduce the build-up of dead cells, and control bacteria. Remember to dry your feet thoroughly and apply moisturizer after soaking. A monthly pedicure is also recommended.
Tidbit: In Bali, a bowl of warm water filled with various flowers and essential oils is placed in the bedroom for the soaking of the feet. It is considered a necessary and pleasant ritual.
